Great Day

Well hello there. Let's see, this morning we played memory, which Colin loved. He did very well. We danced around to Elmo's soundtrack, which was a huge hit with the kids but might be considered some sort of torture to adults *smiling. We picked Thatcher up and went and played at the Children's museum. The kids had a blast and made stick people with popsicle sticks, they are really cute. We had grill cheeses for lunch and right now all is quiet on the Northwestern front. I am hoping they will all sleep today. Wish me luck.

OK so final report for Tuesday (The Pier Report as Josh calls them) everyone napped, Colin napped for 1.5 hours which is a record for our house. He woke up happy and excited to eat popcorn. His overall day here was exceptional. I will have a game of Memory ready for Thurs. drop off *smiling.

Big Boy

Let's see today is Thurs, Sept 24th. The day has been slow but fairly productive. Colin had a hard morning with the drop off which lasted about 10 minutes, I think he finally believed me when I said that Jeff would be back later. He wasn't so convinced at first. Of course a fun motorcycle ride helped ease the pain. We rode the four wheeler in the valley behind our house with all three dogs chasing us, Colin thought it was really fun. We watched part of Elmo in Grouchland this morning and ate PBJ sandwiches for lunch. Before nap I have all the kids sit on the toilet and try to do their business, Colin took some coaxing but was happy to oblige when I offered up books. Check out the funny video, he sat there and read the books out loud to himself. No poo, but A for effort. We will keep trying.

Along for the ride

Jeff had to work late the other night so we took Colin with us to that back to school night. He was really excited to go to Thatcher's school. They had ice-cream and played and had a good ol time.

So at back to school night at Thatcher's school the boys had the entire classroom to play in. What did they choose to play with??? The baby dolls! It was pretty cute actually.

Happy Tuesday

Well Good AM everyone. Colin did better with the drop off this morning, I was fully ready with a set of distractions, ha ha. Let's see, it is 10:45 and we have been busy. We have done arts and crafts with food groups and the help of Elmo and his buddy, we have gone on our morning run and just wrapped up "my baby can read" segments of flash cards and the DVD. Colin and Porter are happily playing in the play room right now. Hope things are great for you!!

Train Show

Fun filled Sunday, even includes a trip to the Train Show!! We ran into these guys on our way out. Fun to bump into familiar faces!!

Stay and Play

So at the end of our day, Jeff came to get Colin who decided it was a pretty good day after all and wanted to stay at our house and play! Yeah, I won!!! Just kidding.

Big Day = Big Rest

We have had a fun day today! Colin struggled a bit with saying good bye to Daddy, but was all better by the time Jeff hit the end of the driveway. We did our morning walk which took some convincing ( and carrying out) but once we were on our way, Colin enjoyed himself thoroughly. He even puttered while he pretended he was a race car.

After our big walk we did our "My Baby Can Read" session, which consists of flash cards followed by a 15 minute DVD, that flashes the words, with a picture and then says the word out loud. Colin really liked this!

We picked Thatcher up at noon and headed downtown where all the kids held hands and walked down Higgins. Everyone was an excellent listener!

Colin ate his entire lunch, even with out me nagging. *smiling. Today he ate, half a quesadilla, 1 container of mandarin oranges and a handful of goldfish.

So far he has been napping for 2 hours and went down with no tears, yeah! He wanted to sleep on my bed and that is great, so that is where he is. Everyone will have a little snack and some outside play when they get up.
